Tongue-tie diagnosis
My little man and I haven’t had an easy start in life. With a diagnosis of a tongue-tie at around 2.5 months and reflux at 3 months, the first few months had been filled with lots of crying and little sleep. It was amazing that with the tongue-tie fixed and finally the right medication the change we experienced, he became much more relaxed and far happier. The only lasting effect was some pretty poor sleep habits. He slept well through the night but if we had a sleep through the day, it was a small miracle.
I mentioned this to my GP and she suggested I reach out to Karen. Karen can fix any baby she said.
I was a little hesitant, I had already had private consultants come round to help me and I wasn’t happy with the results. I knew I needed to do something (not only did my little man need help, so did my marriage!) so I called her and she agreed to come over the next weekend.
I won’t go into details about what we did except to say Karen was really knowledgeable and after following her advice, within days we were self-settling in the cot. It did get harder before it got better and halfway in we had to remove the dummy as he was waking too early and not going back to sleep. It was like starting sleep training all over again!
Karen throughout this process was fantastic. Besides putting us on the right sleep path, her daily calls, the text messages and the uncanny knack she had for calling when I was at breaking point was at times a lifesaver. She even came over again to help me through a really tough time.
I can’t stress enough how much I appreciated the service and support she gave us. My little man now sleeps throughout the day and we’ve now a great routine in place. This wouldn’t have happened without Karen’s help.
I would not hesitate in recommending Karen to any mother needing help putting babies to sleep. You won’t regret it!
