The people that own it and are making the deliciousness are friends of mine and just happen to be ex Rockpool!!! Yeah really. Aren't we lucky?
Catherine Adams was Neil Perry's top pastry chef and her partner Khan Danis was the head chef at Rockpool bar and grill in the city.
Joining them in the venture is Rockpool Bar & Grill chef Angel Fernandez and Penny Watson-Green who previously managed Rockpool on George.
They are doing pizza by the slice (rectangles), gelato, coffee, cakes and pastries.
They're opening on Tuesday 9th April from 8am - 8pm and if you fancy ice-cream at 8am you can! How good is that?
I'm excited. And it's all in the building where I work at the GP's on a Thursday as a Practice Nurse. My life is so sorted. Alexandria has really come into its own. I moved here 7 years ago and it was a wasteland for lovely food, now I'm spoilt for choice.
I know what Thursday night dinner will be from now on...
