The Stingrays AFL
As an English girl I never thought I'd write a blog with a reference to AFL.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_rules_football
Since arriving in Australia, my path has taken on so many surprising twists and turns. I'm certainly not predicting the next ones!
You're probably wondering what Nurture Parenting and AFL has in common?!
http://www.foxsportspulse.com/club_info.cgi?c=0-1047-26751-0-0&sID=72246On Saturday Nurture Parenting was one of the proud sponsors of Ladies Day at UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs alongside Kia and UNSW. Nurture Parenting sponsors the ladies team of UNSW ES Bulldogs - The Stingrays.

Those of you who know me will know I'm a real girl power chick. I'm a midwife and passionate about health and families. This sponsorship is a 3-year deal and I'm their very first sponsor. Go the Girls!
UNSW-ES AFL club
I've been involved with the UNSW-ES AFL club for the past 9 years. They are an amazing club and I count the members as my friends. They have 8 teams including 2 womens' and an under 19's.They won their last Grand Final in 2011 and since then they've gone from strength to strength. Dane Rampe, now at Sydney Swans was a Bulldogs player until he got a transfer. I stole a cheeky photo with Dane and the coaches on Saturday!
This year we had babies and children galore. All the players are having babies, lots of them. It was stroller central. The club certainly has a real family feel about it now.
The food and catering was wow, thanks to Taz and Hiddo.
The Gozleme went like hotcakes.
Here was my little contribution, 60 gin and lime meringue tartlets! Yes Karen can bake. I used to do High Tea parties for charity for the Garvan Institute.

It was a great day. One of the best ladies day's ever. Everyone was raving about it.
I spent Sunday recovering! My days of catering I think are over. My baby whispering world is so busy that it's hard to fit it all in. Some things just have to go. And I'm very excited a
bout the next thing to come my way.
Love the new signs - Sleeping Baby means Guilt Free Footy :-)
